Frequently Asked Questions
IV therapy supports hydration, nutrient replenishment, recovery, energy, healthy aging, and overall wellness by delivering fluids and supportive nutrients directly into the bloodstream.
Many clients choose IV therapy as an intentional step in taking care of their health; the effects of long work weeks, social events, travel, exercise, or demanding periods of life can leave the body feeling depleted, under hydrated, and out of balance,. IV therapy offers a personalized way to support, nutrient replenishment, recovery, hydration, and overall wellness.
IV therapy may be appropriate for individuals looking to support hydration, recovery after travel or exercise, general wellness, energy support, or preparation for a demanding schedule.
It may also be helpful for clients who prefer a more personalized and convenient wellness experience delivered at home, at work, at a hotel, or during a private event.
Yes. For your safety, all new clients complete a brief physician consultation before receiving IV therapy.
This consultation helps confirm that treatment is appropriate based on your health history, wellness goals, current symptoms, and current medications. Once completed, our team can proceed with your scheduled infusion if you are cleared for treatment.
Consultations are good for one year from completion, pending no major health history changes in that time.
IV therapy is generally well tolerated when performed by qualified medical professionals, and when clients are properly screened beforehand.
VITESSE uses physician–guided protocols, medical intake forms, vital sign checks, and sterile technique to help ensure that each treatment is delivered safely and appropriately.
IV therapy is not appropriate for everyone, which is why new clients must be reviewed before treatment.
Most clients tolerate IV therapy well, but possible side effects may include temporary discomfort at the IV site, bruising, coolness during the infusion, lightheadedness, nausea, or irritation near the IV site. These symptoms generally are not lasting.
More serious reactions are uncommon, but can occur. If symptoms develop during your treatment, your Nurse will assess you and take appropriate action.
Most IV treatments take approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on the formulation, your vein access, and how your body tolerates the infusion.
NAD+ and certain specialty treatments may take longer, and will be scheduled accordingly.
